Spondon GSXR Streetfighter 1.0 by Custom Wolf

If you are into the Streetfighter Motorcycle scene then you have probably heard of Spondon Frames. They have built some of the most beautiful tubular aluminum frames and swingarms around. Customs shops such as Custom-Wolf have used their frames in their builds for years. Additionally, alot of the Spondon Frames are built around the early GSXR 1100 and Bandit 1200 engines. These old oil cooled engines we personally think are some of the greatest engines. They can be built to produce amazing power and are nearly bulletproof.  Here is one of our favorite Spondon GSXR Streetfighters built by Custom Wolf out of Germany.

We have watched Ask Motorcycles for some time now but when we first saw their Buell XB build we were amazed.  Being a Buell XB owner and lover, we had to cover this one.   Rad Yamamoto, who is the owner of Ask Motorcycles was invited to the Mooneyes show 2017 in which he took on his most ambitious build yet.  Deciding to think completely outside the box and redesign the Buell, he decided on a full fairing aluminum bodywork racer.  The result is the Ask Motorcycles Buell XB Racer. [caption id="attachment_1207" align="aligncenter" width="862"]Ask Motorcycles Buell XB Racer Ask Motorcycles Buell XB Racer[/caption] A Buell XB has a very unique design which makes it very difficult sometimes for builders to get the lines right.  Well Rad was up to the challenge and nailed it.  Starting with the bodywork, which is all made by hand, Rad hit a few snags that the Buell design creates.  Using a Harley air-cooled V-twin, poses a cooling issue when adding full bodywork.  This cooling issue was conquered through amazing fabrication by adding cooling ducts to help with the air flow.  Also Buell has a thru frame intake system on the left hand side of all their bikes.  The double intake fines on the left side not only are for cooling but still utilize the stock intake setup. [caption id="attachment_1208" align="aligncenter" width="862"]Ask Motorcycles Buell XB Racer Ask Motorcycles Buell XB Racer[/caption] Sticking to the tradition cafe racer style, Rad custom fabricated a a new sub-frame and aluminum tail section.  Position of the rider was slight changed from stock and a cool looking under-tail with air fins and an integrated tail light was hand built.  The seat pan and seat beautifully flow into the tank design that creates almost seamless look. [caption id="attachment_1204" align="aligncenter" width="862"]Ask Motorcycles Buell XB Racer Ask Motorcycles Buell XB Racer[/caption] As for some of the performance and other upgrades, Rad once again went with top notch components.  In the rear, the OEM shock was replaced with a Nitron fully adjustable unit and a set of Aella rearsets were installed.  Additional, a custom handmade 2 into 1 exhaust was build to help the v-twin breathe better.  Up front, a set of clip ons were installed to give it that racer stance.  The stock gauge was ditched for a sweet Motogadget Motoscope Pro unit mounted on a carbon fiber dash panel.
